This vase is one of a series of charming rustic blue and white vases with lively watercolor-like brushes of glaze. On this vase the "three friends" (pine, plum, and bamboo) grow. The blue and white porcelain vessel comes from the antiques markets of Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage.
